Signing in & creating a workspace
Sign in with an emailed code, a password, Google, or a passkey, see where you're signed in and sign out other devices, and create a new workspace in five quick steps.
Deckbell signs you in without a password by default: you enter your email and we send you a 6-digit code. Passwords, Google and passkeys still work too.
Sign in with an email code
- Go to app.deckbell.com and enter your email address.
- Check your inbox for an email from Deckbell with the subject
Deckbell confirmation code. It comes from
support@deckbell.com. - Type the 6-digit code. You're signed in as soon as the last digit is entered.
The code expires after 10 minutes. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, or use resend the code (available after a short wait). Typed the wrong address? Choose Change to go back.
If your account has two-factor authentication turned on, you'll be asked for your authenticator code after the email code, so the email alone never gets anyone into your account.
Other ways to sign in
- Password: choose Sign in with password instead on the sign-in page. Forgot password? sends you a reset link.
- Google: choose Continue with Google.
- Passkey: choose Sign in with a passkey to use Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello or a security key you've added in Settings → Security.
- SSO: if your company signs in through Okta, Microsoft Entra ID or another identity provider, choose Sign in with SSO and enter your work email. Some workspaces require it; see Security & compliance.
Where you're signed in
Settings → Security → Where you're signed in lists every browser and app signed in to your account:
- Browsers show the browser and system (for example Chrome on macOS), the IP address and when they were last active. The one you're using is marked This browser.
- Apps (the Deckbell desktop and mobile apps) show the device's name and when it was last used. The device you're on is marked This device.
Choose Sign out next to any you don't recognise or no longer use; it's signed out straight away. To sign out everything except the browser you're using, choose Sign out of all other devices and confirm. Signing out a browser also stops other browsers from signing back in automatically with remember me, so they'll ask you to sign in again.
If you see a sign-in you don't recognise, sign it out and change your password in Settings → Security.
Verify your email address
When you change your email address in Settings → Profile, we send a verification link to the new address. Until you open it, the Profile page says Your email address is unverified. Didn't get the email? Check your spam folder, or choose Resend verification email to get a new link.
Join from an invitation
When a teammate invites you, you get an email from Deckbell
(support@deckbell.com) with a Join button.
- New to Deckbell? The link opens a page with your email already filled in. Add your name and choose a password, and you're in the workspace. There's no separate confirmation step, because opening the link from your inbox already proves the email is yours.
- Already have an account? We email you a sign-in code, and you join the team as soon as you enter it.
- Invitations expire after 3 days. If yours has expired, ask a teammate to send a new one.
When you join, everyone already in the workspace gets a message from you in their Direct messages, so they can say hello.
Create a new workspace
New to Deckbell? Choose Create a workspace on the sign-in page (or go to
/signup). There are five short steps:
- Enter your email. We suggest your work address.
- Enter the code we email you.
- Name your workspace: your company or team name. You can change it later in settings.
- Add your name, which is how teammates see you in issues and chat.
- Invite teammates by email. Press Enter or a comma after each address, or paste a list. You can also skip this and invite people later from Settings → Members.
If you already have an account, entering your email on the sign-up page simply signs you in.
