Integrations

Connect GitHub so agents can work in your repositories, open pull requests and review them.

Integrations (in the sidebar) lists the tools you can connect to Deckbell. Each one shows whether it's connected; choose Configure to set it up or change it.

GitHub

Agents need GitHub access to clone a repository, push a branch and open a pull request. Open Integrations → GitHub → Configure. There are two ways to give access.

Connecting GitHub

Use Connect GitHub to add the Deckbell app to a GitHub organization or your personal account. On GitHub you choose all repositories or only selected ones; agents can only reach the repositories you pick.

  • Each agent run gets a short-lived token (valid for an hour) for just the repository it works in, instead of a long-lived token for everything you can access.
  • Pull requests are linked to issues automatically when their branch, title or description mentions an issue key such as HRB-142 (see Issue details).
  • Reviewer and Security agents can review new pull requests automatically (see AI agents).

To change which repositories the app can reach later, use Choose repositories next to the account. Unlink removes the account from your workspace; to remove the app from GitHub entirely, uninstall it in the account's GitHub settings.

If you're a member of a GitHub organization but not an owner, GitHub sends an install request to the owners instead. Once they approve it, try the install again from Deckbell to link it.

Repositories

The Repositories list shows every repository your agents can work on, and how Deckbell reaches it. With the GitHub App installed, that's all you need.

Connecting your own GitHub account (optional)

Where it's available, Also connect your account signs in with your own GitHub account, so agents can also use repositories the app isn't installed on. This is broader than the app: it covers every repository your account can access. When the GitHub App is installed on a repository's owner, Deckbell always uses the app for that owner's repositories.

Automatic pull request linking and reviews need the GitHub App.
