Chatasist
Link Chatasist conversations to issues, keep their status and customer up to date, and let the Chatasist AI agent report bugs as issues.
Connect Chatasist so your support team can link customer conversations to Deckbell issues and see them on the issue. Open Integrations → Chatasist → Configure to set it up. You need permission to manage integrations in Deckbell, and the Administrator role in Chatasist.
Chatasist's public API doesn't let apps read conversations or add notes yet, so Deckbell works from the events Chatasist sends (its webhooks). That means Deckbell can't write back to Chatasist: there are no notes when an issue moves, and conversations you link from Deckbell show their details once Chatasist sends an update about them.
Connecting Chatasist
- In Deckbell, copy the Webhook URL on the Chatasist page.
- In Chatasist, open Settings → Webhooks and add an endpoint with that
URL. Subscribe to these events:
note.createdconversation.status_changed,conversation.resolved,conversation.reopenedmessage.createdcustomer.created,customer.identified,customer.updated
- Chatasist shows a signing secret that starts with
whsec_once. Paste it into Deckbell and choose Connect.
Chatasist signs every event with that secret, and Deckbell ignores any that aren't signed.
Linking conversations from Chatasist
In a conversation, add an internal note that starts with a #deckbell
command:
#deckbell HRB-142links the conversation to issue HRB-142.#deckbell HRB Can't download invoicescreates an issue in the project with the key HRB.#deckbell Can't download invoices(no project key) creates the issue in the Default project from the settings.
Chatasist only sends the start of a note, so put the command at the beginning.
Letting the AI agent report bugs
On the Scale plan and above, Chatasist's AI agent can run Automations. To let it report bugs as Deckbell issues:
- Pick a Default project in Deckbell's Chatasist settings.
- In Chatasist, open Automations → Add automation. Use a key like
deckbell_issue, describe when to use it (for example "when a customer reports something that's broken"), and use the same Webhook URL and signing secret as above.
When the agent triggers it, Deckbell creates an issue from its summary in the default project and links the conversation, with the customer's email.
Linking conversations from Deckbell
On any issue, choose Link customer ticket in the right sidebar and paste the conversation's link (or its number).
Customer tickets on issues
Linked conversations are listed under Customer tickets in the issue's right sidebar, with the customer and the conversation's status (open, in progress or resolved), which updates as Chatasist sends events. Board cards show how many tickets are linked, and the Has customer tickets filter shows only those issues. See Projects.
Disconnecting
Choose Disconnect, then delete the endpoint in Chatasist's Settings → Webhooks (and any Deckbell automation). Links already on issues stay. Connecting, disconnecting and changing settings are recorded in the audit log.
