Figma

Rich previews for Figma links, Figma frames on issues, and Figma comments and versions in a chat channel.

Connect Figma and Figma links in Deckbell show the actual file or frame: its name, a thumbnail and when it was last edited. You can attach frames to issues and have Figma comments and new versions posted to a chat channel. Open Integrations → Figma → Configure and choose Connect Figma. You need permission to manage integrations.

Deckbell uses the Figma account you connect, so previews work for the files that account can open. Disconnect removes Figma from the workspace.

Paste a link to a Figma file or frame in a message, and it shows a preview with the frame and file name, a thumbnail and the last edit date. Links to a specific frame (with node-id in the address, which Figma's Copy link to selection gives you) preview that frame; other links preview the whole file.

Designs on issues

To attach a design to an issue, choose Link Sentry issue or Figma design in the issue's right sidebar and paste a Figma link. Figma links you paste into an issue's description or a comment are attached automatically.

Attached designs are listed under Designs with a thumbnail, the frame and file name and when the file was last edited. Click one to open it in Figma; hover and choose × to remove it.

Comments and versions in chat

Under Comments and versions, enter your Figma team's ID (the number in the address of the team's page in Figma, figma.com/files/team/<number>/…), pick a channel and choose what to post:

  • Comments: new comments on the team's files, with the comment text.
  • New versions: when someone saves a named version to a file's history.

You need to be an admin or editor of that Figma team. Save to start; clear the team ID to stop.
