Workspace
CRM (HubSpot and Salesforce)
Link HubSpot and Salesforce companies, deals and contacts to issues, see the customer context and prioritise by revenue.
Connect HubSpot or Salesforce to see which customers an issue matters to. Link companies, deals and contacts to an issue and it shows the company, the deal's stage and amount, and the record's owner. The CRM page lists the open issues with the most revenue and customers waiting on them.
Connect
Open Integrations → HubSpot and Salesforce → Configure and choose Connect HubSpot or Connect Salesforce, then sign in and allow access. You need permission to manage integrations. A workspace can connect both.
Deckbell acts as the account that connected, so it sees the records that account can see.
Link customers to an issue
- Open the issue. The Customers section is in the sidebar.
- Choose Link a company, deal or contact.
- Pick the CRM (if you connected both) and the kind of record, then type at least two letters of its name (or a contact's email) and pick it.
Each linked record shows:
- Company: its owner.
- Deal: its company, stage, amount and owner.
- Contact: their company, email and owner.
Select a record to open it in your CRM. To unlink one, hover over it and choose ×. Linking and unlinking needs permission to edit issues.
Deckbell refreshes this context from the CRM when the issue is opened, at most once an hour per record.
Revenue and customers
Above the linked records, the issue shows the total deal amount and how many distinct customers are linked. A contact or deal counts as its company, so a deal and a contact at the same company are one customer. Deals in a lost stage (such as "Closed lost") don't count towards the amount. Amounts in different currencies are shown side by side, not converted.
Integrations → HubSpot and Salesforce lists the open issues by linked revenue, then by number of customers, so you can see what to build next.
Note when an issue ships
Turn on Note when an issue ships for a CRM and, when an issue is done, Deckbell adds an entry to each linked record of that CRM saying the issue shipped, with its key, title and a link:
- HubSpot: a note on the company, deal or contact.
- Salesforce: a completed task in the record's activity.
Each record gets the note once per issue, even if the issue is reopened and finished again.
Disconnect
Choose Disconnect on the CRM's card. Records already linked to issues keep their last known details but are no longer refreshed.
